Noah's First Haircut

Noah was long overdue for his first haircut when we took him mid-January! He did GREAT sitting for the haircut and looked SO GROWN UP when all was said & done. Below are before/after pix- not hard to tell which are which.

Christmas

Nothing like the next big event (1st birthday this week!) to get us motivated to update Noah's blog! The last month has been SUCH a milestone for Noah- first christmas, first haircut and walking! Noah took his first steps at 10months but really has gotten the hang of it in the last 2 weeks. We're talking LOTS of walking- it's a riot. He's still pretty wobbly (spelling?) but seems to be enjoying himself. Below are a few pix from Christmas.

We stayed home through Christmas Day then headed to SC to see Patricks parents and siblings!

Quick Update before Christmas!

I wanted to give a quick update to the Blog since it's been since Halloween that we've loaded any pix or given updates. Noah is doing great! Noah FINALLY got some teeth just after Halloween, at 9 1/2 months old- he went from 0 to 5 teeth all in the matter of a few weeks. Poor kid.......but as always, he is a rock star.

Thanksgiving was quite eventful. The picture pretty much says it all.....Noah caught a case of Croup with very very bad "Stridor" Wheezing/Breathing (if you want to call it breathing.....). After calling our Doctor's "Hot Line" (since office was closed on T'giving day- timing is ironic) they said to take him to ER "Immediately".....So we spent the entire day there. N received 1 oral steroid and 2 rounds of that Nebulizer thing that has medicine in it. (?). No, we didn't bring our camera to the hospital- the picutre is off Laura's phone.

Just this past weekend, N and Laura flew up to DC for cousin Logan's 1st Birthday party (official Bday is today. HAPPY BDAY LOGAN -sending HUGS& KISSES, I'LL CALL & SING TO YOU IN A LITTLE BIT). Had a GREAT time and N did great on the plane- Laura actually got bumped up to 1st class on the way up to DC! Picture on left is at Aunt Janeen & Uncle Chris's house and picture on right is Noah on the plane ride home- SUCH A GOOD BOY!

Halloween- Mr. Home Depot Handy Man

Noah wanted to be a Home Depot Handy Man for Halloween- we gladfully obliged! He had his official HD Apron (thanks Uncle Ron & Aunt Denise) and his HD Contractor Hat (thanks Gpop Tobin)- plus his overalls and work boots! He also had his tools (thanks Mrs. Wilson)! All in All it was quite the collaborative effort! He greeted the Trick or Treaters with wide eyed wonder!

October 30, 2006 Arnold Family Update

Well, a few months pass and yet AGAIN, I fall behind on the Blog. Am sure most of you have given up......what can I say?!?!?

Life in the Arnold household is GREAT! Super busy with two full time working parents and taking care of Noah. August & September were busy- We had Noah's baptism at the end of August and enjoyed many family members in town. Labor Day Weekend, we flew to Milwaukee (sans Noah) for a friends wedding. Anyone ever been to Wisconsin? It was fun- we ate some cheese and saw the Polka Dance. Laura traveled to Fort Lauderdale for work in mid-September and we also celebrated Patrick's Bday (9/11). Many other weekend events and also started re-doing the kitchen....ourselves.....it's still going on......

The college football season has been exciting- Noah is really getting into ESPN Game Day on Saturday Mornings. He told me it's his favorite show. Can't say I blame the kid.

Mid October we were in Lake Charles, LA (sans Noah) for another friends wedding. It was fun- I have 38 mosquito bites to prove it! Life down on the Bayou sure is different!! We did have a blast!

Laura was back in Fort Lauderdale for work towards the end of October- Patrick was a champ as a singe dad. Thanks Gmom and Gpop Tobin for the help too!

This past weekend Janeen and Logan were in town- what a RIOT LOGAN IS!! He's 5 weeks older than Noah and is just a delicious little boy.

Noah is just a CHAMP! He is VERY sturdy - not walking but can definitely stand on his own for about 10 seconds (yes- we count). He is sooooooooo inquisitive and loves to get into everything. Our favorite thing to do is play chase with him- he loves it and gives a good laugh!

Our weekends should quiet down a bit for the next few weeks so hopefully the blog will be updated more frequently.

Green Beans on my plate! 07/29/06

Noah started on veggies the last week of July- right at his 6 month birthday. That same week he had his first ear infection and cold! He did pretty well with green beans although now we've moved onto squash and he can't get enough of that! It' so interesting to see how he's growing and figuring out things he likes and dislikes. SUCH a little boy!!

Below: Sometimes he gets really excited and waves his hands & arms, hits the spoon and green beans go EVERYWHERE (even mom & dad need to wear bibs!). Let's just say we're all a little crusty after dinner time.
