July 17 - First of School!!!!

Isn't that the cutest sleepy face you've ever seen? Noah had a very successful first day of school. The drop off was pretty hard- Laura definitely had some watery eyes but she handled like a champ. Noah did good too- ha! The daycare he's going to has a Web Cam so we could log on and watch him!! Needless to say, we got very little work done that day b/c we were watching him all day long!

Noah will split his week up at Daycare and GM/GP Tobin's house, now that Laura has returned back to work full time after an extended maternity leave. The socialization at Daycare will be really good for him but it KILLS us to leave him with strangers. But one day down & a VERY long road ahead of us. The Daycare is literally around the corner from our house so could not be more convenient. Plus it comes recommended and has great accreditations.

See Mr.Duck in both pictures? (thanks Mrs. Pepitone- Noah can't get enough of him & hugs him tight all the time!). Well, we were like- "is it a duck or a platypus?". A few wise friends said "definitely duck, b/c there is no tail"....... OK- who knew platypus' had tails? I swear the thing looks just like a platypus (albeit yellow) ..........

Quick stop in Summerville, SC. July 8th

After leaving Hilton Head, we made a quick stop in Summerville, SC so Noah could see his Nana & Papa. It had been since March since Nana & Papa had seen Noah so they had lots of lovin' time to catch up on! Noah got lots of hugs/kisses from them.

Aunt Nonnie, Josh, Uncle Mike, Aunt Lara, Michael & William came to see him, too. Noah LOVED the time with his cousins- it's a boys world........We had a wonderful, but short, visit. Noah told us he wanted to see all his SC family soon b/c he had so much fun with them (didn't we tell you he was talking already? Wouldn't that be just our luck..........).

Hilton Head- July 4th week

Noah had a GREAT time in the pool at Hilton Head! He LOVED splashing the water and trying to drink it too. The weather was fantastic but super hot so beach activity was kept to the evenings. Our routine was this: wake up each morning and eat yummy Tasty Kakes (the adults- not the kids) brought down from Philly by Uncle Al & Aunt Ro -hit the pool for a few hours, take long naps (the kids not the adults!)- if we were lucky Aunt Chris would break out Mah Jong for all, who were interested, to play. Some peeps would ride bikes, play volley ball or just LAY OUT and catch some rays while listening to Uncle Al's EXCELLENT choice of music on his IPOD. It was like "sports camp" meets "spring break" meets "romper room". LOTS of fun stories to share and new games played like "Who Knew" and "Tripoly" (I've probably butchered the spelling on these games, but who is surprised by that). Aunt Eileen would be so proud with the level of activity and very little "sitting around"!

Seen here- Patrick and Noah headed to the beach on the last day. Noah slept over an hour on the beach that day protected from the sun in his "baby cabana". We couldn't have asked for more- well maybe a few mores days of vacation...........The house we stayed in was SUPERB! LOTS of room for everyone and tons of space for the kids things! Way to go GM Tobin on finding such an AWESOME place!

Uncle Al was hugging on his two "great" nephews and the boys loved the attention!

June 26-30

Noah got his first visit from Laura's good friend Heidi at the end of June. Shown here: good friend Laura Bartels, mama Arnold & Heidi Michaelis. Heidi drove all the way here from Jacksonville, FL and got to spend a few hours kissing on Noah. I can't say that the boy minded! (like father like son.....)

These other two pictures were from the same week and just too cute not to show you. Don't you love the hair-do on him!? Be on the look out for other pictures that do justice to the COMB OVER that is truly Noah's hair- it's a riot!

And what's this face all about? He's like "Hey good looking- you come here often??!!" (yes- that's a towel over his high chair b/c God forbid food gets on it- One less thing to have to wipe down!)

Fun weekend with Uncle Geoff. June 23-25

Fun Uncle Geoff came down off the mountains of Western North Carolina (Hendersonville) to the busy streets of Atlanta. Geoff had a great time getting to play with Noah- we were really impressed with Geoff's "paternal" abilities! That weekend we also put Noah in the baby pool. Those Bumbo chairs serve dual purposes!

Meeting girlfriend Anna Reese Langford for the very first time! June 4th

Laura's good friend from Auburn, Erin Langford (the nurse from New Orleans who most of you remember from the Hurricane Katrina stories) and her husband Scott passed through the ATL on the way to beach.
Noah meets his "pre-arranged" girlfriend, Anna Reese Langford, for the first time and BOY DID THEY HIT IT OFF!!! Noah got "real friendly" with Anna while laying on the quilt next to each other!

It's DINNER time! May 28th

RICE CEREAL!!! Noah started on rice cereal at the end of May/beginning of June (5 months old). He gets better every week with it and is now finishing the bowl- he would probably lick the bowl, given the chance!

Cuz Logan's Christening. May 20-22, 2006

Noah had his first plane ride to Washington DC for Cousin Logan's Christening. He was a CHAMP on the plane and made all the "oh my gosh I can't believe there's an infant sitting next to me on the plane" passengers feel at ease with his big toothless grin. HOW ABOUT THOSE PLAID PANTS!!!

Patrick & Uncle Chris take the two boys out for a quick walk while the ladies get ready for the big day!

First trip to the beach- May 6-13

Noah's FIRST TRIP to Hilton Head, SC.

Mid May 2006

(yes- i said first. The kid is living a privledged life....... in his first 5 1/2 months he's been to Hilton Head twice!)

Check out Noah's SUNGLASSES- a must have at the Beach (or according to Laura, a must have at any time!). We all enjoyed a week at Hilton Head with Grandmom & Grandpop Tobin. Gm & Gp Tobin had lots of fun taking Noah for an "evening stroll".
